I am doing Wolf Crawl this year and was so excited to read your take on it. I’m enjoying Wolf Hall so far (just a few chapters in) but now I’m looking forward to continuing to Bring Up the Bodies!
I participated in the Mantel trio slow read last year as well. You are spot on with your comments, Gabby. I loved reading everyone’s thoughts. These posts along with Simon’s background information and insights added so much to the reading experience. I have just started reading The Siege of Krishnapur, the first of Footnotes and Tangents new stream of four slow reads. I am looking forward to another slow read year.
I thoroughly enjoyed the W&P slow read this year, and am looking forward to the Mantel trilogy this year- I’ve read them before but can’t really remember them so can’t wait to get fully immersed!
Well said. Same here. And here’s to more of Simon’s slow reads in 2025.
I'm ready!😎
Couldn’t say it better, totally right. A great part of my 2024.
Such a good highlight from this year!

Oh! I hope you have as much fun with it as I did! Would love to hear your thoughts later on 🤓 happy reading

It really did! I am happy that more people found so much joy in it - I hope this year brings you as much joy as last year did:)
My slow read for this year is Don Quixote. If I finish early I’ll find something by Tolstoy!
Oh I love Don Quixote! It was one of my favourite books in my teens ✨
And mine! I’m excited for what 2025 holds.

Couldn’t agree more 👍👍👍
